MURRAY NELL
MANAGING DIRECTOR
   
 
 
Murray joined the team with much enthusiasm on 1 February 2014.
With extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Murray now stands at the helm of Winchester Mansions with a confident vision to maintain and expand on the excellence that guests have come to know at Winchester Mansions and Harveys Restaurant.
Murray has a Diploma in Hotel Management and has gained valuable skills and experience at a number of four- and five-star hotels across South Africa as well as at a Michelin starred restaurants in London. He has fulfilled the role of GM at three hotels, most recently at The Cape Milner Hotel where he spent 12 years, and views the privilege of joining Winchester Mansions as an exciting new chapter.
With an impressive set of skills, Murray brings a positive offering to the table at Winchester Mansions where he will manage all aspects of the hotel, as well as Harveys Restaurant.
It is a great honour to join such a reputable Cape Town hotel and to have the opportunity to uphold the fantastic name that Winchester Mansions has gained over the years. I look forward to the adventure that the Winchester team and I are about to embark on,” comments Murray Nell, GM at Winchester Mansions.
 


NACO RAUTENBACH             FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER
 

Naco joined the Winchester Mansions team in May 2017 with more than 15 years’ experience in luxury Food & Beverage offerings and management. Naco has a Diploma in Hotel Management and honed his skills and management style in some of South Africa’s most prestigious and iconic hotels like The Westcliff, The Michelangelo and TAJ Cape Town to name a few. His passion for Food and Beverage is second only to his love for people and the development of his team. Nothing makes him happier than great feedback from satisfied clients served by happy and empowered staff 
 
  
LORNA WATTS                        FINANCIAL DIRECTOR
 
Lorna joined Winchester Mansions in December 2012 as Financial Manager, overseeing the financial operations and reporting for the company. Lorna has extensive experience in finance covering various industries and over 13 years experience in the hospitality industry. She is qualified with a BCom - Financial Management degree.

Lorna is passionate about the industry and her interests away from the office include wildlife and travelling.

HANELI TROOST                     EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER
 


Hanneli started her career in hospitality as a room attendant at the Peninsula All Suite Hotel.
With 14 years of experience, she joined Winchester Mansions in October 2015 as the Executive Housekeeper. Hanneli and her team play a vital role in ensuring the hotel is always clean and in an immaculate condition. She has high standards and expects her team to maintain those standards all throughout the hotel in order to create a clean, pleasant and welcoming environment for our valued guests.
 
   
JOCHEN RIEDEL                     EXECUTIVE HEAD CHEF

Proudly German bred Jochen Riedel started his career in Germany where he worked at many different Michelin star restaurants. He moved to South Africa in 1995 where he worked at the Grande Roche in Paarl for 14 and a half years. He prefers cosmopolitan style cooking which can be seen in the diverse menus he has created for Harveys.

Jami first started her hospitality career at a the Four Pillars Hotel Tortworth Court in Gloustershire United Kingdom. She returned to South Africa to finish her studies by achieving an Advance Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management. jami then started off as a receptionist which is where her passion grew for the Front Desk. She worked for the Protea Group for over 6 year where she worked herself up to an Assistant Front Office Manager.

She absolutely loves working with guests and strive to meet guests expectations from the moment they enter the front door of the hotel. Jami's passion lies in working with her staff and ensuring they all work as a team towards one goal. 
 
  
 RYAN HENDRICKS MAINTENANCE MANAGER
  
 Ryan joined the Winchester Mansions team in April 2017. He started his career at a Time Share Company called RCI/ The Holiday Club whilst studying in the field of electronics. His passion for the industry grew as he worked for Inverness Apartments, Cayley Lodge in the Drakensberg Mountains and The Cape Grace Hotel. Ryan has over 15 years’ experience in the Maintenance Engineering field and thrives on building effective teams.
The maintenance department plays a key role in the organisation and Ryan is known for process improvement in order to add value to the guest experience.
